Several members of the Heart of Texas Concert Band are outstanding high school students as evidenced by their inclusion in the Region 12 Symphony Wind Roster 2009-2010:

Michael A. Olson Inducted into the
Phi Beta Mu Texas Bandmasters

Mike Olson, associate music director of the Heart of Texas
Concert Band, was honored at this year's Texas
Bandmaster's Association Convention in San Antonio. He
was inducted into the Phi Beta Mu Texas Bandmasters Hall
of Fame. This is a great honor, given only to a select few.

Official Non-Profit Status Granted
The Heart of Texas Concert Band is an official
501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. This status is
retroactive to March 25, 2009. This means all contributions
made to the band are tax deductilbe under section 170
of the internal revenue code .
The band also received the determinition of
public charity.
March 2010 marks the 1st Birthday of
the Heart of Texas Concert Band!
